Highland Stag Cushion. A fine Highland stag in sage green and rust tweed, appliquéd onto deep green, blue, red and gold tartan, with every blade of grass cut and stitched by hand. Designed and made by Mhairi McPhee in her rural Scottish workshop, so no two cushions are the same.

About Mhairi McPhee

Mhairi McPhee designs and makes her cushions in her rural Scottish workshop, inspired by the Scottish countryside, its wildlife and its colours. She works only with fine natural materials – tartan, tweed and 100% wool – and her ever-changing colour and texture combinations mean no two cushions are ever exactly the same.

Caring for your cushion

Wool tartan cushions are best spot cleaned with a damp cloth. Plump the feather inner regularly to keep the cushion full and its shape crisp, and keep it out of strong direct sunlight to protect the colours. For a deeper clean, a professional dry cleaner is the safest choice.
